Italian Stuffed Bell Peppers
Take your green bell peppers,cut off tops,clean out seeds in one bowl .
Then in another bowl mix ground beef(I use 80%lean),then mix in your un- cooked rice .
It is a little hard for me sometimes to share a recipe as for the most part I never measure I do everything by eye.
My advice would be using a ratio of one pound ground beef and adding one cup of rice,then add in a pinch of parsley,basil,salt,pepper and garlic powder,also add in a little bit of your pasta sauce and some grated romano cheese to mixture .
Mix well by hand ,then take a chunk of mixture and stuff into pepper.
Next in baking pan or sauce pan for on top of stove,generously add your pasta sauce to the bottom of your pan,then place your stuffed peppers into the sauce,next pour sauce over top of peppers,add grated romano cheese to top of pepper.
Cook for about an hour on top of stove,check and see if rice is soft,if not cook a little longer.You can do the same for oven as well(if oven ,set at 350degrees and let bake for an hour or so depending on if the meat and rice are cooked .I prefer top of stove method to oven my self.(I make my sauce from scratch ,but you can use sauce of your choice)
